Software Technical Lead

We are searching for an innovative technical lead to join our company. As the technical lead, you will oversee the company’s technical team and all projects they undertake, analyse briefs, write progress reports, identify risks, and develop work schedules. You should be able to work with your team and inspire them to reach their goals.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for functional or technical leadership of software projects, driving for excellence in team performance and in product design by the introduction of new technologies, processes and/or software development methodologies
• Provides technical leadership for application software designs and development
• Leads the technical supervision and project management of complex software projects/activities
• Determines project requirements and develops work schedules for the team
• Liaises with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard and timeline
• Supervises activities between internal and external resources, and facilitate smooth workflow for service delivery
• Identifies risks and forms contingency plans as soon as possible
• Analyses existing operations and schedules training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements
• Keeps up to date with industry trends and developments
• Updates work schedules and performs troubleshooting as required
• Motivates staff and creates a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns
• Gives training and mentorship to team members to make them better on the job
• Is transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes
• Writes progress reports and delivering presentations to the relevant stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

• Recognized expert having 3+ years in managing software development teams with broad expertise in complete lifecycle management of software designs, specifically in the areas of new software development, software maintenance, resolving significant technical issues as well as providing direction for new software technology/process development activities that have a broad impact to the company goals
• Programming languages
  • Proficient understanding of JavaScript/ES6 and practical experience with Vue.js
  • Ideally experience with further frameworks and libraries such as AngularJS and React
  • Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
  • Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processors, such as LESS and SASS
  • PHP Object Oriented, proficient knowledge of the Laravel framework / Symfony framework
  • Proficient understanding of design and architecture principles behind a scalable application
  • Proficient understanding of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • (Considered a plus) web3 experience
